For new e-commerce merchants who are just getting started, or perhaps old ones wanting to up their game and increase sales, here are some useful tactics to help you. No more missing out on clicks!
1. To begin, buyers usually want to see a product before they buy it, so you have to find innovative ways of convincing your visitors and turn them into buyers with your product images. Do not use small and blurred images for your products; doing that will make your visitors think your products don’t look great. Your images must always be clear and of high quality.
2. Also, some stores use just a single image to sell a product. Since buyers cannot touch and hold a product online, you should use multiple images that show different parts of the product at multiple angles. That way, the individual is able to envisage how the products look from all angles and the decision to make a purchase will be a much easier one.
3. Furthermore, it is always great to show images in the frame of reference of their functionality. If you sell beds, add an image that shows someone laying in one. If you sell wig caps, have an image that shows someone wearing one. This helps your visitors to easily connect emotionally with your product. It helps your visitors visualize themselves using your product by replacing the person in the image with themselves.
4. Finally, when you are done and dusted with your blogs, articles, post and product descriptions, do well to add some LSI keywords. For those who don’t know what LSI keywords are, they are basically keywords that are related to your primary target keyword and not just synonyms. LSI keywords (Latent Semantic Indexing) are basically keywords that are semantically related to your primary keyword. Contrary to popular belief, they are NOT just synonyms or keywords that are similar in meaning. Let’s say you write a current article about the US President. Some LSI keywords in the article will be: “Donald Trump” “George Washington”, “The White House”, “Washington DC”, etc. When Google sees such keywords in your content on your pages, they become well aware of what keyword(s) you’re ranking for and can tell that you have covered the topic pretty well.
